Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses
What: Statehouse Rally
Where: Ohio Statehouse, South Lawn (Front Street)
When: Tuesday, May 11th at 2 p.m.
Who: Nurses, physicians and patients, nursing organizations, advocacy groups, legislators, media and the general public
Information: The Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and the Ohio Nurses Association are holding a rally to show support for nurses and the ever-increasing role they play in the health care delivery system. With a shortage of primary care physicians and the extension of health care coverage to tens of millions of currently uninsured Americans, nurses will play a vital role in providing care to the increasing number of patients who will be seeking medical services. HB 206 will enhance the APN’s ability to treat patients with schedule II controlled substances.
HB 206 passed the House Health Committee 14-3 last October. It is time for the bill to be voted out of the House– all Ohioans should have access to prompt and appropriate health care!
* Wear your clinical attire and bring signs of support (but no signs on poles or sticks)
