Several nurses who are repping (which means proceeding "pro se" and without attorney representation) themselves before the State Nursing Board have told me this just this month.
Just a few suggestions:
1. There is a process and procedure to State Nursing Board complaint investigations and adjudications;.
2. Your case is important to you of course and you want to resolve the pending complaint ASAP but again there is a process and procedure to State Nursing Board complaint investigations and adjudications;
3. Your case is important to you of course but there are several hundred or thousand complaints and/or cases pending or being processed with a State Nursing Board at any given time which is why there is a process and procedure for complaint investigations and adjudications;
4. Consider hiring a nurse license defense attorney to explain the process and procedure of State Nursing Board complaint investigations and adjudications to you and guide you through the process. This removes the guesswork and frustration you are experiencing from contacting the State Nursing Board once a week or every other day by phone, email, or fax and saying screaming "what's going on in my case!"
5. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, then borrow the money from a friend, family member, or w/d it from your 401K or 403B. Attorney representation in these cases is just that important.
