My law practice keeps me busy. There used to be a time, when I could watch Law and Order reruns for at least 1-2 hours in the evening. Not anymore.
For example last week:
Monday- Columbus, Ohio for a meeting with a client who is applying for the Board's Alternative Program for Chemical Dependency.
Tuesday - Louisville, Kentucky for an investigative meeting at the Kentucky Nursing Board with a Client. I also met with Maureen Keenan, the Executive Director of the Kentucky Nurses Association at a local Starbucks. I am not a Starbuck's coffee drinker; I prefer White Castle's coffee and it fits in my budget.
Friday - Cincinnati, Ohio (home). Client meetings most of the day.
Sunday - Akron, Ohio. Meeting with Clients who live in the Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron, and Canton, Ohio areas.
I have to admit however that I love what I do for a living and consider this my dream job because I started my law firm for this very purpose. My family though I was nuts to leave a large law firm.
I provide a needed service and I assist my fellow nursing colleagues with one of the most precious commodities: trying to maintain an unemcumbered and unrestricted nursing license.
However If you travel on I-75, I-71, and/or I-65 in Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana and you see a women doing 65-75 mph in a bright yellow Nissan Frontier short bed pickup truck; that's me.
